Today's been another one of those days that just flies by. I know you guys are probably thinking "Yeah... I know how that is..." right now but no... you guys are wrong. Today flew by but I didn't do jack. Most people are usually busy and then get caught up with their tasks thus their day just goes by fast. Me on the other hand, I sat here and accomplished nothing.
It's not like I want to accomplish nothing... I have a lot in my mind that I wanted to do and get done, its just that I just never get around to it. I guess I'm just waiting for life to kick me in the ass or something... I don't know if I can last 30 or even 25 years like this. Anyway... here's the hightlight of my Thursday.
:::Alvin's haircut:::
So yesterday my mom came in and gave me a couple of coupons for "Great Clips", a local haircut place that I often visit. So today after sitting around doing nothing I decided to get a haircut, it's been a while anyway. I drove over there and on the way a car almost hit me, almost... i'm still alive.
This haircut place is neat, they have a touchscreen computer that the staff uses to log customers. When I came in the lady asked me for my phone number and I told her what it is. "Are you Alvin?" she asked. "yeah". "Okay, why don't you sit right there and someone will be with you shortly".
So I go sit down and absorb my surrounding, I noticed there was a male hairstylist. Now of course you all know what they say about male hairstylists...
When it was my turn I realized that MaleHairstylist will be the one cutting my hair. To me this doesn't really matter, I actually wanted him to be the one cutting my hair just because the other people there doesn't seem like they're in their best moods.
"How do you want to cut it?" He asked. I did my usual "Whatever you want, let your creative side shine." deal and he seemed to be excited about the challenge from his smirk. So off he goes snip snipping away.
About this time, a big argument ensued between him and another hair stylist... apparently MaleHairstylist needs to take a couple of days off next week but he was needed by the store to come in on those days. While they were arguing I can feel him getting agitated, the combing started to hurt a bit and the snipping was getting very abrupt. I guess I was kinda scared at this moment, but I just sat there.
He took his time for the rest of the session, cutting a bit there and a bit here. In the end though, I must admit, it looks like crap. There's this side of my hair that sticks out more than the other side... but I don't mind, after all this was supposed to be his "art". It's a better style than my previous ones though, except that it wasn't really a "sharp" cut lets say.
I went to pay, gave him the coupon so I only paid $5.99 instead of $11. Gave him a $3 tip and went home. My hair actually looks pretty decent if I put gel on it, so I guess I'm happy.
