I got Super Mario Sunshine yesterday!


Very cool game! The controls are very tight and the graphics are stunning. Anyone that remotely enjoyed Mario 64 will love this game! :thumb:

Mario Sunshine - What can I say? I'm addicted and I don't even like kiddy games! In fact, I'm not even a big fan of platformers. However, due to the drought of decent games lately, I decided to pick it up and give it a fair shake. 5 hours later, fatigue has forced me to turn off the console and get some sleep.



Guess someone changed the equation :P

After playing this game more extensively, I hereby give Super Mario Sunshine two enthusiastic thumbs up! :thumb: :thumb:

The first hour or two of the game was a little unfocused, but once you get past that point and actually start getting deeper into the levels, the game becomes increasingly difficult at times, which is a nice change from Mario 64, as I felt that that game could have been more difficult overall.

Currently, I have about 15 shines out of a rumored 120 total. Definitely an addicting game! :P

my roommate rented this last night. looks like an excellent sequel to mario 64. i haven't had a chance to play and i don't think i ever WILL have the time to either, but gameplay and graphics are top notch...from what i've observed at least.

The graphics aren't the best but the environments are stunning. This is one game you should NOT rent, but buy...unless you rent it for 5 days and don't sleep...

Also have a punching bag...or a guy you hate...near since this game is bloody hard...anyone think so too or am I a pansy?

On a note... slaw, how the hell do you get to the pirana plant in the first level?

I'm not exactly sure which one you are referring to, but I think you are talking about the one that is tucked back in behind the fence. I think that I used the rocket nozzle to get back to the area of the pirhana plant and then I used the little pink guys that jump onto your nozzle to shoot the plant.

See, there in is the problem... the lil pink goobers didnt follow me over to his island... they stayed near the mainland...

Hmm...there's should be a plateau with a fence and beyond the fence is the pirana plant right? There should be a lot of those pink "goobers" there for you to shoot. Kinda gets annoying since there's also a lot of paint monsters up there too and it's hard to get rid of them when those pink goobers keep plugging you up.

been playin and watchin my roommate play this game, and i gotta say, nintend sure does know how to make its games... they always come up with great ideas... this game is fun as hell... a bit hard to get used to at first, but fun as hell now... :thumbup:

Actually it's a good description for this game. It's bloody hard, but you keep on plugging at it. And once you reach the shine, it's very rewarding.
