Third party security program

Alright..here's the question:

Does anyone know of a free security program that will restrict students from saving anything to on of the partitions of the HDD? Or restrict them from changing anything on one of the partitions?

The thing I want to do is protect the C partition while letting them be able to save stuff to D.

its called fortress...dont ask me where to get it or anything cause i cant find out..posted a topic its near the top of this list about it. locksdown pretty much everything it sucks. i cant post on g|a during my class.
