looking for a PAL/NTSC converter

a friend of mine bought a phillips dvd player that plays both PAL and NTSC DVDs...however, she bought it before consulting me...and now needs a converter so the PAL signal coming out of her DVD playa will display correctly on her NTSC TV. any help? linkage? i know she should have grabbed an apex dvd player, but like i said she went out, got her own and threw away the box and receipt already...sheesh women.

Is she playing PAL DVDs? If she's not just set the output to NTSC.

she's playing PAL DVDs...not sure if the DVD player has a play as PAL (output as NTSC) setting, i doubt it though.

my hacked apex dvd player plays PAL format on my NTSC tv. sometimes i have to set the video format to MULTI, sometimes it works in NTSC
