i may actually be getting a used dull. I am thinking of picking one up at our university auction. They have some 500 MHz+ celerons and PIII's going for under $50. I figured they would make a decent linux box for the price.

My parents are still PC users, and I have the joy of fixing their system. They had a 1GHz t-bird that let the magic smloke out. The CPU and Mobo are both fried. I ordered them an MSI board (MSI KT3 Ultra2), a XP 1600+, Volcano 6Cu, a few extra fans, and 256 MB PC2100 (crucial). Not bad for under 250! They arent power users, so i didnt pimp it out.
