Well is it?

I have been worrying that I will end up not doing anything related to my major...

Even though I know that with a major in Child Development I will ALWAYS have a job unless people decide to stop having kids.

So I am wondering if you people are actually working in the field that you majored in during school?

although i didnt get very far into it, my major WAS commercial pilot with a BA in something or another...

i'm a tech admin at a company right now...

basically, i'm a computer geek who pulls stupid stunts on motercycles at night, and races his car during the day on weekends...

odd combination huh?

Not really. I have a degree in Computing in the Arts and I am a Sys Admin. I am also the department webmaster, but I have had little creative input to the web design thus far. Just not enough time.

I am working in the field that I worked in the Army though.

Computer geek by trade...

But I didn't major in CS in college. In fact, I never took a single computer class in college. Not one.

I majored in Scientific and Technical Communications. Meant to get in to something like technical writing, or along those lines. But it didn't happen.

Nice one SBP! It's good to see someone is still in their field of study!

As for me, the answer is yes. I have a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MS in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in communications systems. Now I work as a senior-level communication systems engineer.

BAs in Sociology and Asian American Studies. Currently working at my university's admissions office--so yes and no. Looking to go into education..

Sociology is just something you take for fun in college. It just makes college life more enjoyable.l

Took 12 years, but I came back to it.

I didn't actually finish my bachelors degree, but was working toward a degree in Computer Science. Then I got a job in the exciting field of radio broadcasting. I worked in radio for 12 years, then hit the "salary cap" in radio (which ain't very high) so I finally got into software development.
