Ok a couple things..which really don't belong in any one thread..
first and foremost-I like President Bush and always have, never liked Clinton..never ever..there was always something sneaky about him..for those people who think Bush is stupid..HELLO? he went to BOTH Yale, AND Harvard..He was a pilot for the air national guard..AND he had a successful career before he even got involved with his father's campaign or ran for office himself..He is NOT DUMB,STUPID etc..do you really think that money alone got him into these schools? Prolly not-I'm sure it helped but HEY come-on..let's be real here..anyway..I like him because he had enough balls to go after Bin Ladin where as Clinton should have in '93 but didn't..And I like him because his speeches while full of grammatical errors always seem to be coming from the heart..GO G.W.

My ankle hurts-and it's making me mad..I know that since I broke my ankle 4 years ago-every time there is a weather pattern change it hurts like hell and DAMMIT I'm sick of it..
Next...
Today I brought a sack of dried wasabi/peas to work with me to snack on..the glorious pigs in my office, thinking these were going to be sweet little snacks got a real surprise with the first bite..HAHA..it felt good to watch them all gag and spit..STAY OUT OF MY SNACK DAMMIT.
Next..
I hate when I GET FORWARDED JOKES in the mail...why do people think I have the same sense of humour as them? I don't like funny little sayings, cutsie pie pictures, and jokes about why men suck. I like MIDGETS DAMMIT..and MULLETS,HIPPIES,THE ROLLING STONES and Dave Matthews..I laugh at stupid sh|t, ALL DAY, EVERY DAY..I don't think like you,act like you, or want to be included in your little "mailing circle". How did you get my email address anyway..STOP SENDING ME 911 SPAM MAIL..I realize that planes hit buildings, people died, and firemen are hero's..I don't need you to remind me of it every time I open my mail..also..SOMEONE SHOOT THAT STUPID EAGLE WITH THE TEAR and put it out of it's misery already.

My dumb ass friend is keeping her kids home from school tomorrow.."just in case"..JUST IN CASE OF WHAT? in case her smart aleck daughter decides to mouth off to the wrong person and get smacked in the head with a football again (haha-she didn't think it was funny but I did.. :) )Keeping them at home "protecting' them from whatever evil you think is lurking around your east buttwart town tomorrow isn't going to save their ass if someone drops the big one on your house..Unless of course, you unleash your MOTHERLY POWERS and stop that nuclear bomb dead in it's tracks (and yes we all know mothers can do that)..let it goooooo already-send them to school so you can't blame the teachers when your kids are dumb in math from missing too many lessons.
Next..
I saw a woman yesterday at a swim meet, with a french manicure on her TOENAILS..ok now THAT is just too wierd..like I'm really going to believe your toenails GROW that color white at the tips..duh. Take your shoes off and run around in the mud..it's way more fun than sitting with your feet propped up with cotton stuck between your toes. And for god sake, if you've got that kind of money-you should be giving it to the poor bums who live under the bridge and smoke re-rolled cigs made from the butts they find on the curb.
Next..
my tomatoes didn't grow well this year..because my FREAKIN NEIGHBOR let his dog piss all over my plants when they were seedlings which killed most of them..I do however have a few plants with some big juicy "big boys" on them..unfortunately they probably taste like "eu de Bear" because he wateredthem every day..so if anyone would like them..email me..because they wont be passin by these lips any time soon.
Next..
My neighbor had a bird fly straight into her picture window the other day..it was divebombing a reflection of itself..I guess it found out who's boss when that triple paned bay window sent it crashing into the holly bushes down below...why do birds do this?
Next..
My soccer team won its first game last weekend, much to my dismay..I've been running these kids like nazi's in training only to have the other team forfeit due to lack of enough players...that's not the kind of win that is fun to get...

Holiday baking is coming up and I am TOTALLY OUT OF MAPLEINE..now this stuff was around like in the 1960's..it was this heavy duty maple flavoring that was a must in all italian kitchens...last year when my oldest living aunt passed away, we found a stash of it in her top kitchen cupboard..that along with ration stamps from world war two..well you know THAT was like finding gold bricks..the mapleine, not the ration stamps..I blew through that bottle like an addict on crack..damn, it was a nice holiday..now I'm sorry because I NEED MORE..so ask your moms, grans, and aunts if they have mapleine..I will PAY...

I like the smell of gasoline. Now leave me alone so I can enjoy filling up my tank.

When I first tried one of those, I wasn't aware they had the "Spicy Wasabi flavor" at all. I obviously assumed they were the regular dried peas I usually have. I tossed a handful into my mouth started chewing and woke up from my coma a couple days later.

He went to Yale and Harvard. So what? He was a C student. He only was accepted becuase he was a Conneticut Blue Blood who came from old money. If my daddy was an oil billionaire, I'd go to Yale or Hardvard too.
You point out the Air National Guard like its a positive aspect of his career. He joined the national guard to avoid serving in Vietnam. I'm sure the next thing I'll hear is a spin on how his coke usage made him a 'stronger person.'
He ran a successful business? This business was GIVEN to him, he didnt start it himself and work his way up. I'm sure his business was good for teh same reason his presidency seems good: good advisors. He has a good cabinet and he prolly had good chairmen on his board of directors in the corporate world.
Does any of what I said make him a bad President? No, and thats everyone's decision to make on their own, but please take the facts into consideration when you do think about it. Try not to base your vote on something like, 'well, I just felt good about him.'

Wow, another torrent of illogic. The only good CEOs are the ones who start their companies? I think Jack Welsh might have something to say about that!
Yes, if your daddy had a billion dollars you too could go to an Ivy League school, after he buys a new building that is. Nevertheless, he still graduated from a "better" school than you or I did
Being a member of the Air National Gaurd is an honorable way to serve your country. I don't know what you've done to contribute to our national safety but how dare you imply the people who have served in that branch have anything but noblest of intentions.

Jack Welsh didn't become a CEO because his dad gave him a company. Do you really think Bush earned his position in that company through hard work?
Yes, if your daddy had a billion dollars you too could go to an Ivy League school, after he buys a new building that is. Nevertheless, he still graduated from a "better" school than you or I did
And because his dad built a building and he did graduate, that suddenly makes him a better person than me or you?

HEY he would still at one point in his educational career have to prove that he could read N write real smart like..(duh)..I'll take a C at Harvard over an A at some community college anyday. Let's get real here..just because his family has money doesn't mean sh*t..there are ALOT of people who come from old money and don't give handouts everytime one of their bum kids needs a free ride..thats some old stigma that people who were less fortunate came up with out of sheer jealousy. I know POOR PEOPLE who have had children be fortunate enough to get into Ivy league schools...

hey at least he joined right? I'm sure if you had the chance you would have taken the first junket over to vietnam to VOLUNTEER for duty..he was still a freakin pilot for chripes sake..you don't learn how to do that by bagging groceries at the WinnDixie. And big freakin deal if he used coke...where does that parlay into the fact he is still the god damn president and YOU ARENT! GEORGE WASHINGTON had a "hemp" thing going on.. crucify him too while we are at it..You think the rest of these presidents and other people in the public eye NEVER had lives before they were in front of cameras? comeon that is just ignorant.

ok like SO WHAT if the business was given to him..lots of people "get" businesses that are already started..and yeh, if you ask me the only way to effectively run a decent business IS with good advisors. If you don't have anyone to consult with, chances are you won't have a freakin business after a month or two.Good advisors means a company is running well..same goes for the presidency.
Does any of what I said make him a bad President? No, and thats everyone's decision to make on their own, but please take the facts into consideration when you do think about it. Your post wasnt very well constructed, so I wont argue it bit by bit. Let me just say that point about him volunteering for the air national guard.
How do you know he volunteered out of patriotic reasons? Maybe he got his draft card, saw a low number and said, "if im going to serve, ill join the national guard and at least not go to the nam."
Also, he knew from a young age he was going into politics and military service, any military service, is seen as a bost if not a necesity to that. He was just showing up to say he'd done it.

Dont get so offended. I didnt mean to insult one of your personal heroes.
I will say, if you're looking for an American hero to idolize, read the bio of Alexander Hamilton. That was a guy who dedicated his life to serving this country. he fought in the revolution and then became the best secretary of the treasury we ever had, and back in those days it was an important job. He was a real guy, and was caught in a sex scandal. Rumor was flying around and what did he do? Lie? nope, he wrote let to the editor of the biggest newspaper in the country admitting his wrong doing and asking for forgiveness from the country. And he fought to defend his wife's honor in a duel and was fatally shot. Thats someone to idolize.

no one's perfect (that's why we're HUMAN). everyone (or most ppl) idolizes someone for some reason or another. that doesn't mean they APPROVE of everything they did....but as a whole that person did some things worth applauding for. idolizing someone just points out that that particular person did something admirable...at least to those who thinks so. to everyone their own opinion. we all have different viewpoints. for example, some idolizes michael jordon because he is a great b-ball player and for some of the charities stuff he does. he too has faults. probably many of them. it doesn't make him a good/bad person necessarily, it makes him more human. sure he's famous and rich and on and on....but he's human, just like the rest of us.
we don't need to go around with our ignorance and point out why we shouldn't idolize one person or another. everyone has their reasons.

Dark Fury, bro I think you;re confused. I was talking about Alexander Hamilton, not Thomas Jefferson. They were very different and political rivals at the time.
Alexander Hamilton seduced some guy's wife and when the guy found out about it he started blackmailing Hamilton. Hamilton got fed up with the blackmail and said, "f*** it." He wrote a letter apoligizing for what he did, and he made the point that he never misued his office and never spent public money on private matters.
Could you imagine how much balls it took for someone in that era to air his personal business like that? Took cajones man.
But the main point is, Alexander Hamilton was a New York lawyer and didnt own slaves. You are confused with Thomas Jefferson.

Hahahaha, I cant do right by you, huh? Sorry if you;re anti-Hamilton and holding a grudge against a man for 200 years because of familial problems. Ive read at least a dozen books on Hamilton by the most prestigious American history authors and I'm fairly comfortable in saying he was an honorable man.
As far as what the "REAL" story is, do you honestly think I'll get it from reading abook written by an embittered decendent? I think you need to take a class on historiography. Bias of the author plays a huge role in the way the story is told, and an embittered relative is prolly the most biased source you can get.

HAHA! who said it was an embittered relative? Hapsburgs huh? That sure puts you in an elite club. :P I'd be more impressed if you could be who the Hohenstaufens were. Seriously I doubt many Americans could tell you who the Hapsburgs were, so I'll give you credit.
History though is different then historiography. The lady who wrote it's maiden name was Edwards, so I had to assume, if thats wrong forgive me. Still, dont you suspect in some part, that the fact that family hates him might have SOMETHING to do with all the negative "evidence" you have on him?
If your family's evidence is so amazing, why has every other biographer and historian missed it? I'm not talking about poor historians either. Forrest McDonald wrote the universally held definitive biography. He is the Senior Fellow of American History and Culture. Thats credibility.

So when I insult her person, its badgering, but when she insults a politician I like and provides no actual evidence other than hearsay, it isnt badgering?
I am allowed to get defensive too, am I not?

(Oh yeh, and btw I DO know who the Hohenstaufens were..I guess the tricky question you should have asked was WHO are the WELFS?) :) And just to set the record straight..I also know who the House of Oldenburg, and Nikotling were too and that is from a damn good education I received..which I paid for myself even though some fairly OLD money was willing to pay.. ;) .

Alexander Hamilton. All youve done is slander him with no evidence other than "read a book that was written by someone with the same last name of someone who blackmailed him and distantly related to the person who shot and killed him and was later implicated in trying to overthrow the givernment."

Get over yourself Jenny, really, you're being ridiculous. And personally, I don't even care that you don't care that I stay out of your threads..if you knew how insignificant it really is to me that you even respond to ANY post I make you probably wouldn't even waste your time.
