I've heard two reports on the air suggesting that Bin Laden has been reported dead. Has anyone else heard anything? CBS was the one who reported it first, but no one has anything up on their respective websites...

A couple days ago there was an article about an Al Jazeera reporter who recently interviewed one of the planners of the 9/11 attacks. In the interview, the planner referred to Bin Laden in the past tense, and the general disorder of the place in which the interview was held gave the reporter the distinct impression that Bin Laden was dead. I'll try to find a link to the story.

He's dead, I believe. (Although I can and have been wrong :P ) I also feel that CIA, FBI, military, etc. know this and know that if he was known to be dead, the majority of the US population would say "hooray! the war on terrorism is over!" and they wouldn't have a jumpstart on any action in the East.

I read the same thing. The interviewee claimed that it was a slip of the tounge.

I think he's dead. After the attacks he was putting out a video every month or two. Now its been a long time since we've seen the last one. He was also looking progressively in poorer health. I think he's dead and his supporters are saying he is alive because they think he scares us and because he is such a popular figure in the mideast. To admit he died of poor health would remove some mystique.

The latest I've heard is that news article was fake. That doesn't mean he's dead or alive just that the news article isn't based on anything.

What makes you think that? I tend to think higher of Americans.

I'll believe it when they show the pictures and video of his identified & bullet-ridden body. Otherwise, like DF says, he'll show up again after the lights are turned off.

He's probably driving a cab in New York City.
