Got an email from the UK Maxim website saying that Nintendo is developing and testing a backlit version of the GBA with battery life of about 9 hours but aiming for 12.

They mentioned that it was in developement b/c third party companies were making kits.

Well the past few months with my GBA with the Afterburner have been great. I've spent more time on it and can acutally play Castlevania with the Afterburner. If Nintendo can come out with a competitive or better product I might buy another one. I have a lot of debris in mine. Nintendo might offer an upgrade to exisiting users...whether that's free or not (i.e. a kit) or just a discount on the newer GBA...who knows

Warning

If anyone has hotbar installed and goes to the UK Maxim site, Hotbar likes to display ads related to the site. Well...doing this from work, Hotbar displayed some p0rn links...and yes it shows boobies and everything else at the top in the menu. I didn't realize this until after I posted.

W00t...I made the game page news. :P

I've replayed all the games I didn't bother to finish since I installed my Afterbunrner to my GBA. It's makes a huge freaking difference. It's like the Atari Lynx but smaller (if anyone can remember that system).

yeah...I play a lot of Tetris DX now. I can complete 40 lines in a bit over 2 minutes. Gotten over 1 million in the Marathon mode also but that takes a few hours of nothing to do on any given night.

Finally got my GBA TV thingy after 3 months. I was going to use this before the backlit thing to play on my TV instead. I'm going to use both at the same time and hopefully don't screw it up. Some ppl have been able to use the TV thing and the backlit at the same time.

Anyone else the insane add-ons to the GBA? You can add a steering wheel I think for racing games, and MP3 player, that e-card reader and a TV tuner. The FM radio thing has been out for a while GBA as well as for GBC.

I've successfully added the GBA TV adapter thing along with the Afterburner backlight. Both work perfectly. It's nice not to have to squint on the GBA but on the TV the quality is horrible. I think the NES would be better. Sigh.
