wireless internet rules

so i just got my dell laptop today and i come downstairs into the dining hall..its 2:15am but there are still ppl here....anyways, we have wireless internet in this area, so im just chillin and talkin on AIM and posting and its all without wires!. we also have ethernet ports all over the place too..its pretty cool.

btw, thanks a ton to apex and leon and whoever else was involved w/ posting all the dell deals...dude, i got a dell!!

heh...i like wireless, but i dislike the 11mbps speed :(

yeah, we have wireless lan all over our school too. I check up on GA every once in a while on my ipaq and laptop if i have it with me.

aah, it would be so cool to have a laptop to test it out myself. ucla has a sculpture garden with wireless network i hear. wouldn't it be nice to sit quietly on the grass posting away on G|A?

i got the wireless nic along with my dell laptop.. and set it up.. mmm couldn't set mine up right away, but in my apartment complex, there were other people with wireless, without any security.. so i started surfing with their internet :hehehmm: now i know how it felt like for other people to be surfing on my network without my consent.. anyways, i realized that my SMC wireless nic doesn't work.. or not work properly.. but the Dell rebadged Agere Systems Orinoco Gold wireless nic, that baby works like a charm! gonna get a few more of them for my home systems.. but yeah, 11mbps does suck quite a bit.. was just transferring some mp3's over from one computer to another, it took SOOO LONG!
