If it works with your motherboard seems good, though I'm sure I'm missing something (-:

Buyer beware.

That's all I can say about these guys--my company will never order from them again. We ordered one motherboard, one processor, and one stick of THIS EXACT RAM (the NEC 256 meg, which at the time was even cheaper). We suspected the motherboard was DOA, since everything else appeared to be functional, but they insisted we ship everything back to them when it didn't work. At our expense. They did replace it--in fact, they had to replace the RAM three times. The first time they sent us a stick of 128 and a stick of 64 instead of another 256. They refused to pay the return shipping, claiming we had ordered that. The next DIMM (which we insisted be Micron chips) was labeled as 256 MB on the chips, but showed up as 128 in the BIOS. "Must be defective," they said, and again made us ship it to them. Finally, they sent us a working 256, much to my amazement. Fortunately our credit-card company has no problem with the disputed charges, since they thought it prudent to charge us immediately every time something went out, but only later remembered to credit us when we sent things back.

It's possible that we just had a bad experience, and that these guys are fine. However, in any event, they seem to have a grand total of two people working there, only one of whom has any technical knowledge, and the latter is not always there.

Oh, and if you don't want to take my word for it, check this: http://www.resellerratings.com/comview.cgi?ComputerSuperSale

Admittedly, people only post ratings for anything when they feel strongly about it, in general. Check out the comments, however, from the administrator of resellerratings, who notes several apparently bogus positive posts about the company being submitted. It's about halfway down the page. He ended his message the same way I began mine. From now on I will always check this site before ordering. It's just not worth saving a few bucks for the potential of all this hassle.

I'm not crapping on your deal in any sense, Bluto--it's a good price--I'm just answering your question about "what am I missing?"

One last comment--this RAM, as ComputerSuperSale notes on the referenced page, is not compatible with every motherboard. When we ordered, however, the Asus K7V (the motherboard that we ordered) was on the list. Now it is not, which means at least they realized their mistake. The downside to this is that it seems like they are using their customers' orders and returns to determine which chipsets work and which don't.

Does your sig. refer to you being a sperm donor or that you commit felony's against women? Just curious...

No sperm bank necessary, and no felonies either. My signature refers to the consensual adulterous relations that I have, to pass on my honors student genes to as many deserving youngsters as possible.

Really, it's just a joke. I hate those ridiculous bumper stickers advertising the academic status of people's children, and this is my way of making light of that. If you don't like it, don't read it. I thought of posting some vicious rejoinder, and I had several in mind, but there is no need. Thanks for writing!
