Ok, after getting my tail beat in Fantasy Baseball (damn you Tino Martinez), hockey season is right around the corner. I've started a Yahoo Fantasy League for my fellow G|A'ers and friends. It's a simple 6-4 head to head league.

You do realize you're all going down in a major way. The Parachuting Chimps are simply unstoppable. :)

BTW, tough break for your Hawks, IrishSS. Maybe they should bring their sticks next time! :)

Hey... I never claimed we'd be any good this year... when you take away 161 of 268 total goals scored last year you're bound to struggle...

Ya, just givin' you a hard time. This doesn't look like the Hawks year. Awfully thin up front, although the back end wasn't great last night either. Toews really had to be on his...I won't say it (insert unintended pun here). I was surprised how bad the Birds were though. They're supposed to contend for the US Division crown. Even their good players (Riddle, Johner, Thompson, etc.) weren't great. And their not so good players? Downright embarassing sometimes. Neither goalie was very good and Ward was especially bad. He looked shaky on almost every shot. Couldn't catch a cold with his glove. Not what you'd expect out of an overage. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't one of their 3 this year.

A nice 2-0 for the good guys though, outscoring opponents 15-2. Just hope they don't get too cocky. They've got 5 off days to dwell on how proud they are of themselves. Should be a good test against PG next weekend. They trounced a short staffed Blazer squad in the preseason. Hopefully we show them how meaningless preseason is.

Techincally only one person has dropped all their players, but a lot of people just stopped participating. 2 quit before the season started, 1 a few weeks in, and 3 more in mid-December. One other player hadn't been seen in a while but just recently logged in.

Would be nice if they let people else take over their teams.
