Locking of threads..AGAIN

Well let's see-I put up a Jambalaya thread-just because I felt there was a whole bunch of stuff I felt like saying..nothing that was slanderous,libelous,or hideously disgusting...Cantacuzene trys to jam it up with his freak tangent on Alexander Hamilton..and then Jenny pops in to make her weird little comment..WOW..and now my thread is locked. That is so cool!!! I guess those GAM powers have gone to her head because it was easier to lock the thread than just stay out of it..So let's see..maybe instead of this being an off topic forum it should be an OFF topic-as long as you don't say anything that someone who uses GAm powers when it is convenient to lock threads may disagree with forum. Then people wonder why so many regulars are missing. :shake:

I used to be a regular on another forum where the same stuff started happening. So I left there and I came here. I'm starting to think it's me. :(

so i JUST went and read the entire thread for the first time.

my thoughts:

* interesting first post.
* then everyone says how cool obby is and how they want to be like her - nothing but praise. All is well.
* Canta. contradicts an opinion and starts a discussion. sounded fine to me.
* the first thing Obby says back is a personal attack to Canta., SHOUTING NO LESS (<-- thats shouting BTW)
* From this point oon Obby keeps shouting from time to time, and getting more and more beligerent.
* Canta. keeps running on and on too, ignoring the personal attacks.
* It goes on for a bit, Jenny steps in to try to cool things down...
* ... by making a joke! Even including the :heh: smiley.
* Obby Replies VERY VERY rudely back, attacks jenny.
* Jenny obviously offended now, replies back as nicely as possible given the conditions.
* Obby goes off YET AGAIN. Even Canta. realizes how RUDE her post was.
* The GAM (be it whomever it may be) sees that the post is going down hill fast, and that its being used to attack people instead of carry on a good discussion, and closes the thread.
* Obby goes and whines in yet another thread.

Humm. Pretty interesting course of events. But, thats just how i see it after having read it all the way through non stop for the first time.

I agree with DF that the thread neede closeing badly.

Obby, when something doesnt go just the way you like it, its not a license to go ballastic ok? You've done it to me in the past, so i DO know what i'm talking about.

Now dont go attackin me now ok? That wouldnt be the mature thing to do in this circumstance.

well let's see..all wise and knowing Nanotech..apparently you didn't read the posts correctly-or perhaps I should say in an unbiased form..let me suggest you go back and read Cantacuzenes FIRST post which was nothing but negative,petty crap because he doesn't care for George Bush...to which I believe OTHERS also replied to him before I did..HMMMM..don't see you accusing them of "attacking" anyone..ok..next..Then Cantacuzene becomes an English Professor and tells me my post isn't very well constructed..*g*..I didn't realize we were being graded on our posts. I'll keep that in mind next time. and then etc etc..Somehow Alexander Hamilton gets dragged into the conversation, and because I suggest (in a neither negative,nor positive way) that Cantacuzene read a book regarding other info about AH, then all of a sudden I am ATTACKING AND CRITICIZING? Oh for the love of god..(oh yeh and btw I capitalized the NAME AND AUTHOR of the book so it would be standing out from the regular text not because I was screaming it at him)..then I'm accused of holding a grudge against Alexander Hamilton..which is SHEER lunacy..I didn't know the man personally, nor do I care too-his hair is far too long...then of course Mojo makes an attempt to lighten the mood with his post all this because obby approves of our president. obby, you should be ashamed of yourself so I respond to it..in slightly humorous way..then of course as we can all read the rest of the posts-it was QUITE clear that Cantacuzene was badgering..well sorry Nano-I'm not going to go run and hide because someone is up for a confrontation. And then of COURSE Jenny has to get in some lame remark about me picking on her when in truth we all know I can't even be bothered with her..Unfortunately, she didn't care for my response and the thread was locked. Well you know what..that pattern has shown itself more times than not around here..the sad part is everyone is afraid to say something about it for fear of being banned..You know how it is..piss of a mod, and next thing you know..you're outta here..As far as me "whining" as you so call it..you seem to know all about whining..but that's not for me to judge you..you have no business "disecting" the original thread because once again, it is apparent that I will always be the villian in your eyes..And Yes I DID start another post about it because there was no reason for the first thread to be locked. after reading the first three lines of your reply, i realized you didnt READ what i POSTED, because i said you attacked Canta. PERSONALLY. I didnt say anything about Canta attackin GW, becuase thats completely acceptable. Afterall, thats what a good discussion is all about. BUT, attacking the person that is doing the discussing is unacceptable. That is what is considered a PERSONAL attack.

Now, you've attacked me personally. Or, maybe i should take "all wise and knowing Nanotech" as a compliment. hehe. Either way, "you're obviously always right" and anyone that disagrees with you just "HAS" to be wrong, and they MUST deserve a denigrating comment from you without a doubt.

I went to bed shortly after 11:00 last night. I was asleep when the thread was locked. I didn't have any idea it was going to be locked. I hadn't talked to anyone about it. I didn't locked it myself. In short, I had nothing to do with it. :D
