I am thinking of getting a job for a few hours a week in the daycare center at the YMCA. If you work there at the Y, after 90 days, you get a free family membership. w00t!

That's my motivation. :)

Anyway, I haven't filled out a job app. since before Josh was born. Feels weird! lol

Good luck getting the job. I worked there the past 2 summers as a camp counselor. Pay kind of sucks, but hey, where else can you get paid while watching movies, going on field trips and getting a tan? I wonder why you have to wait to get your membership though? I got mine right away. But then again, I was seasonal. They want me back for a third year. I dunno if I can handle it. Just make sure you dont hit any of the kids. Thats bad. Not that I did it, but another counselor did and got in a heep of trouble.

hehehe the YMCA.....EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.....hopefully the one by you is better then the one I worked att....the PAY SUCKS!!!!!!!!! Even IF you have to qualifications it will still SUCK!!!!!!! If I EVER go back to work there I will never work for the one I did....they treat people like crap...I got unlimited access to all the facilities and classes and stuff, and got discounts if I were to sign up for any classes or anything...but never did and I ended up quitting :cool:

oh yea, pay does suck. pretty much everyone, includign the life guards got minimum wage, $6.75

Oh, see, that's the thing. I'm not in it for the pay. It will just be used for extra pop money or whatever for me anyway. It's minimum wage and I'll be working 2-4 hours a week is it. I'm in it for the free membership.

thats good. membership is worth quite a bit. especially a family. what minimum wage anyways where you are? i know cali is $6.75, which if i remember correctly, is higher than most places

I think minimum wage here is $5.75 :)

And yeah, the family membership for the Y here (which is a great place here. :P ) is $45/month.
