I need to get all my Outlook files/mail/settings from one computer to another. Is there an easy way of going about doing this?
thanks,
daUnit
File --> Import and Export --> Export to a File --> Personal Folder File (.pst) --> Select What You Need

Now you have to import the .pst file into your new Outlook.

The best way is to transfer files from one machine to another is get Outlook Express Backup Wizard at http://www.outlook-express-backup.com/index.html
It does it all. I have used it and it works great. Backs up address book, favorites, mail boxes and a few other things. Works for about 30 days before it expires. You should not need it more then then.
Just noticed you requested backing up Outlook files. This program works on Outlook Express only. Sorry about that.

i usually copy the files from the local setting folder and whatever subfolders they are in. I then burn them to a cd and recopy them to the new system. works most of the time
