Week 2 is not done yet at the time that I write this(MNF), but I still thought we could talk about how everybody's team did and what you thought of the NFL in general this week.

I thought Week 2 was decent, although not nearly as exciting as it was last week. Actually I cannot remember a more kick-ass start to a NFL season then last weeks show. So many close games, with only one real blowout(Chargers vs. Cincinatti:P) This week there were a lot more blowout games and interestingly enough, a lot less close ones. The eSDee Chargers took apart the Houston Texans, 24-3. Charger QB Drew Brees (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/235197) had a decent showing going 15/28 for 163 yards, 1 TD and 1 Interception. L. Thompson (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/235249) only managed 84 rushing yards, although if he would have run 0 it would have made no difference. The Chargers D was awesome. David Carr could not shake the rookie jitters as he went 6 for 25, for 87 yards, 0 TD's and 2 interceptions.

The real news of the game was the Charger D, with 11th year probowler Junior Seau (http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/4239)putting on a show, with 7 tackles, 1 sack and 1 interception. Seau's sack was one of 8 total sacks. The Charger D would have won this game on their own, scoring 7 points on a quarter back sack and fumble, that ended with a charger player falling on the ball in the end zone for a touchdown. Also, the Charger Defense has not allowed a touchdown this season.

So that's what my game of the week. Sorry if I sound like I'm applying at ESPN, I'm just really pumped about the season. Please use this thread to give any thoughts you have about football, and I mean NFL football, not Fantasy football aight? ;)

for some reason I'm not suprised he's your pick.

didnt watch too much NFL, I got time for 1 or 2 college games and highlights. I did see Warner get picked off and that was clutch.

Jr. looks rejuvinated and it was a good win.

The Chargers are looking impressive coming out with a 2-0 start. The AFC West is always a tough division, and with the Raiders, Broncos and Chargers all at 2-0, it look like the divisonal games are going to be pretty damn good!

I've already got tickets to the October 20th Raiders-Chargers game. :D

Pats look very strong after dismantling the Steelers and Jets the past two weeks. Jets need to regroup after yesterday. Offense provided no help for the D two weeks in a row. That's bound to take a toll. Guess the Cowgirls aren't as bad as they let on in the Texans game. Will the Rams win a game this year??? :P

I'm digging on the New England Pats... they are doing fairly well. I was sad that my team, the 49ers dropped one but  oh well, have to lose at least 1, so people don't get suspicious :shifty: :P

The Minnesota/Bufflo game I only caught the end of it, but I was sitting on the edge of my sit. OT is so fun. That kick from Bufflo was SOOOOOooooo lucky, but whatever, it took it into OT. I thought Minn. just died after OT started, They went 3 and out on 2 straight occasion, what's up with that?! oh look... another pass to Randy "Give me the ball atleast 40% of the time" Moss

I think Washington is gonna win tonight's MNF ball against Philly. Not that I have anything really to go with, but everyone seems to be going with Philly, so I will go for Washington :)

go lions! uh, wait, never mind :bawl:

i heard someone say that it looks like the lions will be ready in 2012....for .500 :heh:

so anyway, go rams! bad first couple of weeks, but they're missing some pieces from last year. once the offense starts to gel, they'll be fine and start kicking ass again :D

Bastard Chargers beating up on my Texans...grrr...

Btw that was 9 sacks. And to think at the beginning of the season our best position was our offensive line. Oy.

Btw I hope the Patroits are the underdogs EVERY game from now till the end of the season. That way, they'll be 16-0.

And what's with those Broncos? They don't look like a great team, but after beating the (crapapolous) Rams and then the 49ers, they look good.

And Baltimore still sucks. Man. I think even the Houston Texans could kick their ass.

And how bout my Giants, beating those nasty Rams (who can't seem to win this year)?

Nice game for Mr. Kerry Collins. And Jeremy Shockey, the rookie, is gonna be a phenomenal player in due time.

BTW the team I'm rootin for is the Tampa Bay Bucs.
My boys dont get along Key/Sapp but with Gruden(sp?) running things it should be interesting.
How did the bucs become the team I root for you ask.
I had the traiders and than Al dissed my boy Marcus Allen. Than Al "just die already" Davis moved the team back, after the Rams left, leaving us without pro football. That and bad fans was it for me (stabbing someone over a football game?!?!?!).
A few years ago I watched the bucs and their D and had fun watching them win games with it. Than they picked up Keyshawn and now they got Chucky, who I liked while coaching the traiders.

Yeah, Chargers are looking tough. I'm a long-suffering Cards fan, and we host you on Sun - I'm going to the game.

Cards looked amazing last week, completely dominated the 2nd half line of scrimmage from the Seahawks...but then again it was the Seahawks

Well, the Chargers haven't really played anyone good yet. It should be a good game between them and your Cards. I hope the fans don't rip apart the stadium again if they win ;)

Well yer giving us too much credit. I was at that game in 98, we had a playoff berth on the line (sumpin Cardinal fans never see). Only 28,000 tix sold for this one. And if you want to win the game, tell Drew to pass, pass, pass - we have no pass rush.

Hey, is there a good Charger Fan message board? I'd like to check out what they have to say. There is a good one I go to for the Cards. Cards Message Board (http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/vb/)

I'll mention that to Schotty next time I see him ;)

Sorry bro I stopped checking out the local boards, because unfortunately the one that I used to check out got clogged up by a bunch of stupid ass Raider fans talking smack. You couldn't even get a decent conversation in without one of them chiming in about how "the Raiders were going to BF the Chargers".

Apparently they have computers in the jail libraries now.

You didn't need to. Actually y'all should give a game ball to Jake Plummer. He did all the passing for San Diego that you needed! :bawl:

Well at least it was only 110 degrees in the stands.

hey man, at least they came pretty close in making a big BIG play at the end. The game just got away from them. And Junior got hurt... again :(
