A few days ago I decided that I wanted some fried eggs. So I heat up a pan, go to the fridge and take out the eggs, and then go over to the stove. I try to crack open the egg and something seems funny. The egg was FROZEN! It was the weirdest thing, the inside was like gel but it kept its shape. I threw that one out and took two other eggs and put them in the pan shell and all for a few seconds to thaw them and they were usable. It was pretty funny though. :P

i know some side by side fridges have a hole in the wall between the 2 sections which allows pressure to balance out, on both sides so when you close a door the warm air which entered shrinks ( cant remember the word) and creates a vacuum which makes the door very hard to open for a while. if you put something too close to that opening stuff might freeze

i called discovery channel. they're willing to give you $4k for your amazing refrigerator that froze the filter. they may need the filter as well. maybe you can get more for that.
Our fridge was making a screwy noise when the compressor turned on, so when the fridge guy was there, he was moving the thermostat around to get it to make the noise. Anyway, after it was fixed, he must have left it pretty low, b/c I went to get a beer, and I had a beer slushie...:o

I think you are talking about condensation and rarefaction.
