i just bought a remote controller to try to control Winamp with

what kind of program should i use?
i've tried to use winlirc n it wont work :( i dont know why i keep getting an error.
also i've used pc remote control. it works but i can't even control winamp,

please help, and with detailed instructions of programs and what to install n how to control winamp :) thanks
