View Full Version : Florida Vacation

So Corsec told me today that our vacation to Florida is pretty much defiant. I'm having some mixed feelings about it though. I mean, heck ya I want to go - but I can't afford it, and he insists on paying for my half. What is a girl to do?
I have wanted to go to Disney World my whole life, but I don't know...I still feel bad. Should I?
I think you should let me pay for your plane ticket and our tickets into DisneyWorld and Epcott Center. :D
You have (on more than enough times) shown that you want to pay and are willing to, but I ask that this one time you let me.
You have covered all of our dates and times together (most of them) because I have been out of a job. Now that I can afford things for you...let me at least do this. :)

Skip Epcot. You HAVE to do the Magic Kingdom at least once in your life, its a law I think. Skip everything else at Disney except Blizzard Beach. BB is the best water park in the world, hands down, so if you like water parks at all, its worth the time and money.
I can't recommend Islands of Adventure enough. That park is amazing. Halloween Horror Nights is starting too and unlike last years "toned down for sept 11" crap they had, its going to be scary this year.
I heard Seaworld is fun again now that they added rides but even though I drive past it like once a week I've not been there in like 6 years.
i'm not sure everyone understands the question. correct me if i'm wrong, shortstack, but you wanna know if you should go and let him foot the bill, right? not just whether or not you should ever go or where you should go or whatever. so the key part is if you should let him pay.
Well, I was actually toying with the same idea w/ Chick myself, so I'm all for you letting Corsec pay...

All the time I ws growing up, I really felt cheated because we never went to Disneyland or Disney World. Now that I'm an adult, I have do desire whatsoever to go.
And yes, ShortStack, let Corsec pay. If he's anything like me, he will enjoy treating you to a vacation more than he'd enjoy the money.

Oh, she's just dandy. No changes, just the same old stuff. As for the pics, I don't think there are any pics of me let alone of her. She's kinda camera shy, having that 3rd eye and all...
I'd say let him pay. If you've done all that he says you have, I would think, it would be his way of showing you his appreciation. Just don't get extravagent <sp?> and bleed the sucka dry. I mean if he offers to take you to dinner don't get the 50 dollar salad.. etc. etc.
But yeah, let him foot it, if he offers. Now, if he starts bitching when you get back that he's poor... I fully expect him to be cut off from the *cheap 70's pr0n music here* for at least a week.... :D

Yup. She deserves it.
Also, yes Mojo, she was asking if she should let me foot the bill or cover it herself. :)

Nope, don't let him do it
He can take me instead :D

:D
Let him do as much for you AS you are comfy with. If he foots the bill for this, buy him something there (a pic of the two of you :) )
Corsec, you are very sweet! Now, just talk Donnie into taking me on the Disney cruise!

Well, I try not to let money into my relationship. It is not that I don't pay for my GF and she doesn't pay for me, but we don't keep tabs. There is no need for a 1:1 ratio on money exchange. It isn't really that important.

i like chrissy's idea... let him pay, but if you really feel bad about it do something for him that wouldn't cost that much money. for example, you can put together a scrapbook of your vacation and give it to him. :) besides, after years of my boyfriend trying to convince me that he WANTS to spend money on me, i think i'm starting to believe it! :-p

aaaahhhhhh......you're getting sucked in.
it all starts with innocent boredom and checking the off-topic forum. soon, you have a few thousand posts and go through withdrawls if you haven't seen all the day's posts :heh:
trust me, it's a great feeling. nothing to be afraid of :P

Well I do live in California, so I have been to the ORIGINAL magic kingdom, so no worries there. Corsec doesn't want to go to the water park though! (And it will be december, does it get cold down there) Convince him!!!

I just feel bad letting him pay completely. Should I let him? I don't know. Should I not go? I can't pay, I know that much - bills come first and those take my paychecks.

Thanks Nija! Makes me feel a little good that he talks to people. I think I'm blushing! 50 dollar salad??? They exist? I think after reading everything though...I am going to let him, and insist I pay for something while we're over there. Even if it's just paying for the developing of all the pictures. (And trust me, I'll include some in the boards)

I'd say that's fairly reasonable
I think we have found a happy medium for all parties involved :D

contrary to popular beeleaf (yes that was intentional) I have a some sembelance of intelligence. I just choose not to always use it :D
