Alright, I'm sorry to say I'm addicted. I mean, I bought the first game (The SIMs) just to see what all the "rave" was about and I'm trully addicted! I was playing just that for awhile, and then I got distracted by school. But then I saw the Vacation expansion pack on sale and SIMcity 3000 on sale so I bought them. SIMcity requires a bit more thought process, but I like the vacation packet. I guess if people have tips, please send them my way. There's a lot I don't get. Anyone play? I have tons of questions.

Yea...like when you have a 10x10 block of residential, do you only have to put water pipes under 1 out of the 100 squares, or do they all need their own individual water pipes?

I haven't played Simcity 3000 in a long time, but from what I remember, you don't need water pipes in each block. When you get water flowing in them, they cover an area, so you don't need 100 pipes, but you can't just have 1 pipe. You have to figure how large of an area a pipe will cover.

But don't take my word for it since this is all from memory.

So basically, it is a complete pain in the a*s? Ok, just checking.

It's not that bad. What I did was to layout a grid of pipes, spaced apart, through a neighborhood. It should get every single house. It's no big deal.

Of course you can just do what I normally do and place pipes randomly until everything is covered. Works both ways.

To lay out water pipes, you need to have your water pipe start from your pumps or stations, then lead to your residential area. Now what I do, is I lay out the pipes in conjunction to the road. You dont have to place them on every single square to fill the houses with water! If you have a block 10x10 of residential with roads around it on all sides, just put pipe along those 4 sides, etc. Same thing with electricity..parks..firestations all work as conjunctions, i.e. if you put wire to the park, the park is conected to houses? so those houses have electricity....

get? got? good..

Alright, another question for SIMs players, not SIMcity. Why the heck do some SIMs not dry off after showering? Is it pure stinking laziness or am I placing the bath in the wrong place?

EDIT: More questions:

Ok, I think the maid got abducted by aliens, or the more likely, something go screwed up. She stood in the doorway and kept moving as if stuck and then these circles moved around her and she disappeared. Any ideas?

Also, how do I get rid of ghosts? The creepy music is annoying now.

It's been so long since I played the SIMS but isn't there a way in the game to get rid of them? I mean it's almost like a quest if I remember correctly but maybe my games are spilling over into one another:P

Yeah, I think I remember something about that. I was never into playing at the Goth house, I didn't like the layout anyways...

Hell yeah dude that's what this games all about!:D I take all of my best buds and me and put us up in a huge house, then we put all the girls we like up in another house somewhere. And we don't work, all we do is party all day. One of us gets on the phone and starts calling girls and then it's on! One by one they are convinced to come and live in our house.:)

I just got the Unleashed expansion pack and I think it's a nice addition. I own 3 expansions packs plus the regular SIMs and honestly, it's nice with more than one. I mean, the regular SIMs is fun for awhile, but you get bored with it after awhile. The expansion packs give you other things to do.

I really want to look into SIMs Online because that'll be fun! It seemed from the advertisment that you have to pay for it like EverQuest though - pay for the software and the service, which would suck, but I'll do it if it's not too expensive.

Also, they have a "deluxe" version now which pisses me off because it combines the original SIMs game with the expansion pack Livin' Large, but it also includes other special features! That means you have to buy it to just get those special features. Piece of crap if you ask me. Looks like a X-mas present!
