Sorry for cross posting, but in case some of you don't visit the Hardware forum regularly, I thought I'd stick a pointer in here to this (http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50508) thread. Pioneer (who makes many of the DVD-R drives) has issued a mandatory firmware upgrade in order to prevent their DVD-R burners from literally burning up.
