My boss was one of 7 investors in a tech company that went belly-up. In exchange for his investment of tens of thousands of dollars, he gets few boxes of left over hardware. You know, stuff they forgot to liquidate.

I have been asked to eBay some of it. One of the items is a Cisco PIX-520 firewall. No docs, sofware or nothing. Just a black rack-mount box with 4 NICs in it.

Can anyone tell me how to hook this up so I could at least determine it's configuration?

Don't ebay the Pix - you won't get anything for it. High end stuff tends to go for almost nothing on ebay.

If you need some other equipment for the office, find a company that will take it on a trade in... you'll probably get more out of it.

Is that "almost nothing" for something like this? I guess I really don't know what it should be worth. My boss would be happy to get anything, since it's worth zip to him.

What kind of companies take stuff like this on trade? We could always use other office equipment.
