OE reomoved access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail: gc_religion.mp3

I have accessed the attachment before...and i don't have a virus-scan installed. so any ideas?

This could happen if you recently installed SP1.

You should be able to disable it by going to Tools | Options | Security and unchecking "Do not allow attachments to be opened or saved that could potentially be a virus."

That would explain a lot. Thanks seqiro. :D

OE6 apparently removes almost all attachments now (post SP1) I've been encountering the same problems too.

Thanks for the help seqiro, I've been meaning to look to disable it but haven't gotten around to it. you just saved me the trouble...hehehe

It seems to be limiting .zip and other binaries, but oddly enough I have not had any problem with .doc or .xls files.

Hmmm.

i think it might automatically send a virus scan for Doc and xls files. It blocks everything else, even JPG's and Gifs. I think this is in response to every virus creator on the planet trying to expoloit OE.
