I'm considering getting the Motorola V60i through Verizon. I can get it through a school promotion for $49.99 i think. I was wondering if anyone had this or another V60 and had anything to say about it.

Is this the same as the v60c? The v60c has a metal finish with an lcd bar on the outside of the phone.

this is pretty much the same as any of the motorola v60 series. it just has a few different functions. its offered through verizon and they customized to their liking so it has the i at the end. but i believe its the same as teh others.

it's what i have right now. no complaints as far as functionality, but my particular phone seems to clamp a little stronger, so i've dropped it a few times trying to flip it open. oh, and i don't know about irvine, but here in west LA i get excellent reception with verizon.

i know verizon service is good here. i have it already. how hard is it to customize ringtones into it? also, is it difficult to customize?

Yo I wish I can get the phone for $45. It's like $150 here with a plan.

Well, if the v60 is flashed with the v60i software, the only differences are the changable housings and the less breakable antenna and base. Other than that, they're the same. I have a v60c that I use on Verizon that is beat around a lot and it holds its own. However, I would like the Bluetooth option which is why I'm contemplating buying a v270c.

I still can not purchase it from any of my wholesalers. :( I only wish that phone was Bluetooth capable.
