Well after about 6 or more years of service my epson 880 finally went kaput, it clogged up beyond anything *damn "refill carts to blame I think*. So now what should I do? I am equiped with a camcorder so. . . any suggestions I decide to take will probablyh get recorded and put on the net :D. For now, anybody have a steam roller I can borrow? Or maybe I'll recreate a scene from office space, hehe.

Crushed with a BIG vehicle
or
Dropped from a building (you would of course have to have a confederate to drop it off of said building and record in the impact zone)
or
Explosives, however that would probably have the same effect as a landmine with shrapnel flying all over the place
be pretty hard to explain to the ER Dr just how that LED got stuck in your spleen.

Right now. . . thinking two things, either torching it *oy plastic fumes hehe* or tying it up to a car and dragging it around town. Hehe. But because I'm a lazy arse probably won't happen or not for a while. OH and my sister's WAAAAY old HP 660c isn't being used anymore, and not sure what to do with that one either. Too bad I wasn't genius enough to make them into battle bots or something, have a showdown between the two hehehe.

explosives are always fun. The car idea would be fun, inless a cop sees you.
Beating it senseless is also really fun, not that i know from experience or anything. Theres just something about broken printer flying through the air :D

As much as I would love to do that and was my first thought. . . I need to try to keep it somewhat safe and I don't think the San Diego PD would quite enjoy me chucking a printer from the NBC building or one of the others. . .

LOL or how about just put them to cars. . . hehe.
Dead printer has parts. Donate it to a charity which provides you a receipt. Salvation Army does this in my area. Find a price for your printer on the internet which you can print out as documentation for its value. It may not be much, but better than nothing. Use that price as the beginning basis of your deduction.
If you are on this forum, then you are probably interested in saving a couple bucks.

I file with the 1040ez, so I dont get to make deductions. Its in my financial interests to destroy my broken stuff.
