From SoCal Fry's ad:
Retail Athlon XP 2000+ and Albatron KX400+ motherboard for $149. Here are some details of the motherboard: VIA KT333/8233A chipset, 3x DDR333/266/200, 6-channel AC97 audio, and 2x ATA133 channels.
This is a better deal than the XP 1700+ and MSI motherboard.

I've heard rumors that ALbatron includes a free stick of memory, with their mboards. Anyone already buying one, could you please post if there was one included?

No onboard ram but it is a decent board according to the reviews.

You picked one up? It was supposed to be a special gift for buyers of their boards (not mentioned ont he box). Read a review somewhere about it. but not sure if they were still doing it.

No, didnt pick one up but none of the reviews mentioned a free memory stick. Which for 400DDR would definitely be mentioned.

once again, fry's suck.

for not being nationwide.
Just pick up the combo today (not for me) and it doesn't come with any RAM. Just finished installing but the video card is bad. Have to use an old card and get an RMA tomorrow.

I don't know about SOYO but I like the new Albatron. It has some cool O/C functions. :D

any of you so-calers can make a killing with this sort of deal. I know many of the east coast board users here would be willing to pay a few bucks to have it shipped out to them . Think about it, you make 10-15 bucks per board shipped and they pay the board cost plus shipping fees. Easy money and a great deal for those involved

Could be a lot trouble dealing with the east coast. Who wants to send me the $ for it and the shipping and the premium? I'll pick one up on the way back from work, or 2 or 3.... :P
