Terrific!
NOT the normal cop show.
Law & Order, CSI, etc, show the stuff from different perspectives, like cops, lawyers, etc. But Boomtown showed it all from INDIVIDUAL perspectives. Each cop, the lawyer, the reporter, the paramedic AND the victim.
This one will take a bit to get used to, because it seems disjointed. But overall, it flowed really well and you were able to understand everything that was going on.
There were some very FUNNY parts and some very SAD parts. Overall, a definite thumbs up from my hubby & myself.

I was ALSO hoping the show would have more of a CSI feel to it -- a reporter would uncover evidence or witness something that the cop didn't ... you know, the way the commercials had made it sound.
Still undecided about this one, but it's definitely not very high on my radar.

Yeah, but I liked the way they did it. If we'd seen the entire story from each perspective, it would have taken forever and you wouldn't get to see it from as many people's views. So I liked that part.

Yeah, I kind of agree that it wasn't exactly like I thought it was going to be. But then again, I didn't remember the commercials much at all, so I was ok with it. lol

Scott feels more like you than me. He liked it but wants to see another 1 or 2 to decide if he will watch it every week. Me, I'm gonna watch it, cause I LOVE Donnie Wahlberg in it.

I was a huge NKOTB fan (Yes, I'm admitting it. ;) ) although didn't really like him. But his character on here is going to be fantastic to watch, with the wife who is depressed and tried to commit suicide (after, we were making the assumption, a miscarriage?), a little boy, and a sister-in-law who is fed up with trying to take care of them while he works.
The other cops:

Gary Basaraba
and

Mykelti Williamson, who played Bubba in Forrest Gump as well as a TON of other movies & tv shows (Check out his profile on http://www.nbc.com/Boomtown/bios )
Mainly those 2, but the other cops as well, had me rolling. Those right there were reason enough for me to watch every week. :D
