sony dvd/vcr combo...what do you think?

My DVD player is dying...its time for a new one...

Sony has a DVD/VCR combo SLV-D100.

This would save a ton of space...but i was concerned about some of the "packaged" stuff like all in one fax/printer/scanner stuff...usually they package a sucky one of each.

anyone have one of these?...or heard anything about them?

also...you think its bad to have a combo like this?...like if something were to go wrong with the dvd...or vcr side?...i don't know...

and when one dies you lost both forms of movie while you get it replaced...

i wouldnt buy an all in one unit either. i always tell friends and family who come to me for advise about this stuff the same thing. some listen, some dont. the ones that dont usually end up having to replace both when one dies.:rolleyes:
