I'm going to take my A+ exam. I've been thinking about getting the A+ transcender. How good is that one? Is it pretty similar to the actual test? Does anyone have an experience using the software? Let me know what you think.
If you are familiar with pc's and how they work, $ave your money. When I took A+ a while back, I borrowed my brother-in-law's Michael Meyers A+ Certification book and passed the test with no problem.

Yea get the book. Usually they have CD's in the back that have questions that are fairly close to the actual exam questions. The course itself has change since I wrote my exam but mostly on the software side. If you know hardware it'll be easy just brush up on OS's like Win2k/XP and Linux for the software side.
If you took the course, some teachers actually have a copy of Transcender that they give out free (I didn't say that!).
Cheers,

Yeah, if you have been fiddleing with PC's for a while now, you are already most of the way there. Get a quality book and study on your own. It's not that tough.
