View Full Version : Iraqi Vice President Offers Bush-Saddam Duel To Settle Dispute
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The White House scorned an Iraqi leader's suggestion that President Bush and Saddam Hussein could resolve their differences in a duel, calling it an "irresponsible statement" that did not justify a "serious response."

Freaking hilarious. They offered a DUEL. You know Saddamn would play so dirty, like that bastard in Blood Sport that blinds Van Damm. But Bush would show him how the Texas boys get down!

That's pretty funny but I have to wonder what's going through their heads. I mean come on guys, like this country is going to agree to that. Get real...
I don't know it is crazy. But I have to admit, If *I* was president, I'd totally go for it. My legacy would never be surpassed. If I won, i'd totally be the most hard-ass president ever. The statue would read "Memo Sanchez: Most Hard Ass President Ever." If I lost, the statue would probably read "Bravest President Ever." It's a Win-Win situation since you KNOW the US doesn't play fair. If Bush lost, we'd still take out Iraq. Plus, FOX would get MAD ratings for the broadcast.
This however is probably the reason I will never be president.

goodness...they're REALLY getting desperate, aren't they?
Another weak attempt at a distraction from what the real problem is. A better solution is for Saddam Hussein to off himself. :dodgy:

not a bad idea. perhaps we can avoid war AND get rid of bush.
j/k. (but i do want to avoid war, and get rid of bush. i don't want him to die though, just not be pres.)

Too bad dueling has been illegal for over 175 years. We'd have to give the President another illegal power in order to do this... :D ;)

I always thought that would be the best way to go about it. :P
I mean why does the President get to sit all comfy and safe in his chair while thousands of people die because he's telling them to go to war?
I guess its much easier to risk someone's neck, specially if its not yours.

I say we accept. Invite Saddam over, and he can have a nice room with Bubba while he is waiting for us to work out the details. :hehehmm:

If we really were serious about doing this, we'll need to dig Pres. Andy Jackson's corpse up out of the gound. That man is tougher in death than any other man when living.

Not sure if he was the last, but he fought -and won- enough of them.
One anecdote comes to mind, american history buffs feel free to correct me, but Jackson was in a duel and let the other guy take the first shot. He took the ball in the gut, and despite the excrutiatiing pain calmlypulled the hammer back on his pistol casually aimed and shot the man dead. Then he went to get the wound looked at. Thats balls right there.

Grant would be too plastered to shoot straight. People dont usualy think about it, but Washington coud throw down if need be too. Any man sho spent a winter at Valley Forge with no food is tough in my book.

I'm all for it!!! It is definately a Win-Win situation for the American people and the whole world in general. I mean either way, we are better off!
The major problem I see is that Sadam would use a stand in... a ringer for sure.
As for legality, so long as it doesn't take place in the US, it's not a problem. The Prez has Diplomatic Immunuity everywhere else, so does Sadam. And you know that 1/2 of the Republicans would be for it, and all the Democrats would love to go see someone take a shot at Bush.
So let's get this thing started!

Did you guys ever see the SNL where Bush Jr. and Sr. go hunting. Jr. acts like a complete idiot and Sr. contemplates offing his own son to save the USA from stupidy. Sr. has Jr. in his sigts and last second says nope Mrs. Bush would never forgive me....... Oh man too funny :D
BTW wasnt it Madison or Garfield or some old pres that had a duel either in office or before or after his term?
