Ok, so dammit, why is my thread considered random and not others? I mean, it's ok, I'm just confused. Because to me, this is no more random than a dream about G|A? or SOMEONE being addicted to this forum (http://www.gotapex.com/forums) ... Am I wrong? :hmm:

Well, actually, if it gets moved, oh well. I won't agree with the decision but it will be no biggie.
And it is hard to move threads if you aren't online.

nmap takes too damn long to compile.
What's happening is comments are just being made because of the recently concluded dopes matter. Its understandable that a friend/loved one would do that, but at a certain point its good to move forward like everyone else has. So please do so at this time. Thank you.

don't you think that this ->Can you say "as bitter as dopey and corsec?" comment made by Jenny should also be addressed and not just your quote from Pink. Seems to me like THAT comment was TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR. Now if that was one of my threads-I'd be called argumentative, rude etc..and the thread would be locked. But Jenny gets away with making sarcastic remarks because she is a GAM. Go figure.

Since when has ANY thread been locked for someone being sarcastic? I wasn't being rude or calling names. I just made a sarcastic comment. Nowhere in the rules does it say that isn't allowed...

Well, while my initial reaction to this was to call you down....upon thinking about this, I actually agree. That the comment was out of line, not that she "got away with it because she is a GAM" Even if she did, life's unfair, deal.
You know, I'm tired.
I'm tired of the bull**** comments.
I'm tired of the GAMS getting blamed for other peoples irresponsible behavior, just because 1 or two of them happen to be known.
I'm tired of hearing about dopey.
I'm tired of people beating things into the ground, and ****ting on threads.
I'm tired of the bitching about abject favoritism. Jenny has been given time outs before, and believe you me Apex does not show favoritism - there are things he just won't put up with.
I'm tired of the 'poor me' attitudes of so many people who love to take advantage of the forums, and get mad when things don't go their way.
I'm really, really tired of this pain in my side that started yesterday when I think I broke a rib playing splatball. @#$%#@$%#$@%# it hurts.
I'm tired of the dog starring at me, hoping for my hash browns.
Mostly, I'm just tired of the totally inability any of you people seem to have in taking the high road. Some times you comment. Some times, you STFU.
Ouch, I hope your ribs feel better soon.
What is splatball?
I hate it when dogs stare at me while I am eating. We used to have a black lab that would drool a bucketfull every meal. On the plus side, the food my kids dropped wouldn't even hit the floor.

otherwise known as paintball. Shooting your friends with high speed paint pellets, while dressing up as overweight and middle aged warriors. Was lots of fun, and I can even say that whatever I did to my ribs was worth it, because I vengenced myself upon a marketing guy who had nailed me in the butt not that long before.
I'm picturing my group of male friends shooting each other with paint, and the mental image is giving me a giggle. Too bad we don't have anything like that around here...it would make some good pictures to give the kids someday. :heh: I'm glad you had fun and got your revenge!

Would your thread have been locked making a statement like that? Just like this thread the answer is no.
Once again its urged for folks to resolve personal differences off the forums and move forward. Thank you.

HP Miller had let the Got Apex Members now he is no longer fooling around... his side is hurting a little poochie wants his hash brown, will this anger him further? will the Got Apex Members return the comment knowing it could bring upon them certain Time Outs? SO I decided to defrag my hard drive last night and the darnest thing happened. It'll defrag for a bit then a weird noise started to eminate from the drive and the comp just rebooted. What gives? It happened everytime I tried to defrag. By the way I'm running WinXP with an IBM 40gig hard drive.

Try this:
1) boot into safe mode (F8 just before the Windows logo at boot, select Safe Mode)
2) login as Administrator
3) Open up a command prompt (click start -> Run... and type CMD in the dialog box and press <ENTER>)
4) type defrag c: -v (or whatever drive letter it is you want to defrag)
See if that works. It'll give you a better defrag anyway because fewer system files will be locked.
Alternatively, you could try making sure all other applications (especially virus software) are closed (end task from task manager if necessary) before starting a defrag.

heh, mine is the same way. my 45gb is crapping out on me.. IBM also.. and makes a weird noise.. locks up when trying to defrag. but doesn't reboot.. i hafta manually reboot to get it out of the lockup.. and when i run the DFT from IBM, while trying to repair the bad sectors, it exits into the DOS prompt prematurely.

I thought IBM makes good hard drive. If not IBM then where else can I turn to? All of the other manufactureres out there I hear aren't oo good. I.E., WD, Maxtor and the lot of them.

Almost anyone EXCEPT for IBM...I prefer Western Digital (especially the Special Edition drives...), but Seagate and Maxtor make excellent drives also. Lots of excellent sales lately, just keep your eyes open and you'll find something that will fit your needs/budget. I just picked up a 80GB WD SE from NewEgg for just over $100, and there was a deal posted just recently for $90 after MIR.
edit: I see on the WD deals thread that the price is now $80 with no rebates. Awesome deal if your local CompUSA has it in stock...

IBM used to make good hard drives years ago during the model 34GXP time. Then the 75GXP and 60GXP line came out and started dying by the boatload. Just the number of people on this forum who have had an IBM hard drive die is horrendous.
Maxtor, Seagate or Western Digital are all good to buy. Personally I'd go with a WD Caviar SE-that will have a 3 year warranty.

Who said anything about a neck protector or gloves? You have to wear the cammo, it's part of the atmosphere. And considering I offically sprained my ribs, almost cracking them, all for simple vengence, don't you be calling me no pansy, sissy boy. I represent!
