View Full Version : Projectors?

I've always like the idea of having a projector instead of a monitor but the prices were high. But recently I've seen some that are "buyable". But I would need one that could also pull duty as a home theater projector also. I would like a small one I could mount from the ceilin gor the like)they have ones like this at the college I go to) Where can I find info on projectors? So I can make an informed descision? Any opinons welcome. thanks guys

projectors are great for watching movies and playing games, but IMO, instead of a projector only setup, you should go for a dual setup, one projector and a regular monitor. most video cards now support dual monitors even if the image is the same on both.
sorry, i dont really have any more info on projectors, but im sure Apex and some others here can be more helpful on that

One thread in one forum of one topic is more than ample for the GotApexians to reply to. . . GAM has spoken!

I posted a thread on this a while back:
Apex gives some good tips near the middle.
I'd recommend a projector for entertainment purposes and then a monitor for your computer. that way you can do what i'm doing: surfing the net and watching the tube. Also it would just seem to big to run the projector as a computer monitor. my 2 cents.

I have a boxlight xp-8t hanging from my ceiling. It rocks. Super clear, plenty bright.
I paid $1400.
