You will probably be interested in seeing the 4th Avenue Jones'. They actually toured with J5 this past summer, and usually open for acts such as Wyclef and Nappy Roots. 4th Ave also features one of the only known hip-hop violinists around.
They will be opening for Musiq next Thursday 10/17 at The Grove in Anahiem. They are also scheduled to play at UCLA tomorrow 10/9 at 12 noon. I'm trying to get info as to where on campus they will be.
They also play the Temple Bar in SD a lot...although I don't think they've been there in a couple of months.
