View Full Version : sooooo.... what's your favorite cereal?

so i went to the store last night to get some stuff, and i wanted to buy some cereal, cuz i'm a big cereal fan. if i'm hungry, i'll eat like 4 or 5 heaping bowls in a sitting.
it got me wondering what cereals other people like...
as for myself, Corn Pops is my sentimental favorite, and i really like Raisin Nut Bran.
and a friend of mine recommended a Kashi cereal, which i'm eating right now, and it's really good!
also, how do yall like to eat your cereal? i prefer to completely drown mine in whole milk and drink up the sweetness that remains after you've finished a bowl. :munch: :lick: :)

i hate sugary cereal. messes up the milk
my all time favorites are CHEERIOS and CHEX.... mmmm..
you know what else is good? Red Berries Special K and Blueberry Morning... yummy. :D

Rice Chex. It's the closest I can come to eating rice without cooking it myself or have it come with my order of chinese food.
Gee I'm lazy. :P

Rice Chex and Special K with berries.
I like whatever is on sale for 2 boxes for $4.
Specifically I like the Cap'n Crunch Berries but you know it tears the **** out of the roof of your mouth. I like Lucky Charms as well (Marshmellow Mateys if you go with the cheap ass Malt-O-Meals). Cinnamon Toast crunch is really good as well as froot loops, fruity pebbles, apple jacks, cookie crisp. I can name them all. As far as the "heatly ones" Special K is BAD ASS. So are the post ones with te cranberries or the one wiht the blueberries. The Fiber one with the peaches is good as well. I'm a cereal freak. :)
Last time shopping I bought a box of Homer-0's. Little cinimon doughnuts. There's a picture of Homer Simpson on the box going "MMMmmm...Doughnuts". How could I not buy them?
They weren't very good. (d'oh).

I love Pops, but they REALLY tear up the roof of my mouth. I end up with lil peices of skin hanging.
My favorites:
Frosted Flakes
Honey Nut Cheerios
Honey Bunches of Oats
Trader Joes Vanilla Nut cereal (kinda like honey bunches of oats but the oat clusters are bigger and better...bigger and better is always good. :D )
I'm weird, I put a little in the bowl with a little bit of milk and keep serving mesewf some more til I'm full. I HATE soggy cereal.

Oh, and btw, do any of you remember a cereal... it was really "chocolatey" and it had a vampire theme? And a better question is, where could I get it?

For years, my favorite has been Lucky Charms (or the geneneric versions), but lately I've been eating the Special K Red Berries....those strawberries are pretty good...

My all time favorite cereal is Crispy Wheats and Raisins....unfortunately I have trouble finding it anymore. I know it became Crispy Wheaties and Rasins, but now no one has it. :(
After that its Oatmeal and Raisin Hot Cereal...then fruit loops, rice krispies, and raisin bran. I am generally not a sugar cereal fan.

yeah that was count chocula. that's my friend's favorite, and he told me they don't really make it any more. but somehow (i think he had a friend who used to work for the company), he gets these secret shipments of it. i'll try and find out exactly how it is he gets those. man, there were two other monster themed ones i think, but i've completely forgotten what they were called and what company made them all.......

I don't think there is a cereal that I don't like..
Although I usually buy honey nut something, choclate anything, boo berry, count chocula, lucky charms, chereos, red berry special k, cocoa krispies, or fruity pebbles.

Yep, they still make them, although I don't see them often... I got a box of BooBerry, Count Chocula and FrankenBerry cereal the other day... The kids liked it...:shrug:
my favorite cereal is oatmeal, with lots of brown suger and butter :D

I have to agree with Nija on this one..Oatmeal, 1 cup every morning-steaming hot-and kind of runny..no sugar,no milk, just plain oatmeal..mmmmmm..
and Special K with strawberries.

personally, i like sprinkling cereal on my bagels and cream cheese. adds a nice little crunch. :lick:
(side note: whoever thought "salmon" would make a good cream cheese flavor should be slapped with a mackerel.)

they taste as good as candy, but are lower in fat and sugar and highly fortified.

Bah. You're smoking crack. Nothing like a toasted bagel w/ cream cheese, smoked salmon, beefsteak tomato, slice and some chopped Maui onion. :munch: Yummy!

I've been alive for alomst 14,000 days, and have eaten Cheerios almost every single one of them.
I love Cheerios. Oh sure, I enjoy a bowl of Cap'n Crunch every so often, but I always come back to Cheerios.
I even have a box of them sitting at my feet under my desk for when I don't have time to eat breakfast at home.

yeah. apple jacks. i used to like lucky charms. but i started eating an old box just to finish it off and the marshemellows got all funked up. but in the end, i just find what 2for1 deals are going on at the market. haha.

i like cinnamon toast crunch and cinnamon life.
i'm not into really sweet cereals (like corn pops) or chocolate cereals. but i do like stuff like special k with red berries and honey bunches of oats. chex are also good :D

since so many other people have mentioned it, i also have to say i like honey bunches of oats too. but yeah, lately, i just look for what's on sale at the store... :D
when i can get corn pops or frosted mini-wheats for $2 a box, i'm livin the good life... :)
