Yeah. I think I should stop spending time of all these other forums.
I would move this to the entertainment forum, but it's almost too sad.

Just a bunch of overgrown outcasts worshiping their RPG gods.
Freak is wearing a kilt. WTF is he thinking? His aim is acceptable considering he's an overgrown ninny.

I love Triumph. Hey at least they had a cheerleader supporting their total escape from society. I love the lighning bolt guy; he was just a little too serious. "Must throw lightning to save world." and when it wasn't working so well, he just got louder.

hehe. I actually was part of a group sorta like this. but we weren't so much in to the role-play as much as the "hitting people with foam sticks" part. Hitting the people with foam sticks is much funner than one would expect.
it's just a guess, but they were probably part of something like these:
http://amtgard.com:8080/
http://www.sca.org/
it's sad i still remember those...

Hahah, the local SCA club around here isn't as insane as them video people, mostly I see them doing their battle stuff since technically they're the other half of the fencing club. They still look goofy though.

SCA can be pretty interesting to watch as long as the RPG stuff is kept to a minimum. The folks in L.A. seem to show up on a surprising number of History Channel and TLC programs on middle age topics (at least they're getting paid for it there).
Also, I've been told by a reliable source that whoever did the costume/swordwork for Army of Darkness was definitely SCA - it was technically pretty accurate (the armor, swords, etc).
