Hey guys, my "clan" (hehe) put up a server. It's bogs.dhs.org.

Try it out. Btw we're not really a clan, just a university group that has our own server...

Server location is in Providence, RI on a unversity connection.

I think we're playing all maps right now. The problem is that the server is kinda empty right now. It's only been up a couple of days though...

Yeah we're having issues configuring the admin mod. It's up right now.

That's weird. Open a console and type "connect bogs.dhs.org"

Btw I had nothing to do with installing the server, I just play =)

Yep, thats why I quit playing. Medal of honor & battlefield mmm now those are great multiplayer games.

Yep, I enjoy Battlefield 1942 a lot! only gripe I have for that game is the inertia problem. I don't know if you'd ever experienced it, but sometimes, especially on the sea battle maps, you exit a ship and for some reason (lag?) the ship keeps moving but you don't, so the ship leaves from out from under your feet! Weird stuff.

its actually pretty easy to tell if they are cheating or not with version 1.5, but thats only if u can watch them while ur dead.

yeah, but you just bear with em for a while, and usually they go away. either that, or find out when the admins are on and play then, and watch them slap the hackers or turn them into chickens...

yeah same here. i have the ati 8500. i used windows ME and it worked fine[70-90 fps], but once i switched to win 2k, it lags terribly [20-40 fps] anyone know why??

you need to disable vsync. i have a 8500 on a xp 1600+ and i get 100fps at 1078x720

yeah i turned that off, what OS are you running?

Vsync does nothing to the game.. all it does is cap your FPS (well your visual FPS) at the refresh rate of your monitor.. so if you have it set to 60.. your max fps will be 60, 75, 75.. etc.. and you also have to make sure you go into console and type fps_max 150 or something, even tho it won't go above 100..

Then to see your ACTUAL FPS, in console type timerefresh and that will give you your actual FPS and not your visual fps (if you use netgraph)

But my guess is to go to your mobo's website and make sure you have the newest and correct AGP drivers.. Also, make sure you have the best copy of your vid cards drivers.. other than that, I dunno, being as I'm having the same problem.. heh.

I'm running win 2000, but it's weird.. with my elsa 920 (geforce 3) i installed it, and got like 20 fps.. then I downloaded the detonator drivers and the AGP drivers for my mobo and went up to 100 constant.. then I think I installed the new detonator drivers and now it's back to 60 or so.. I need to remember what drivers I had that worked so well.. and hopefully they will work on the geforce 4 line of cards as well.. or maybe I'll just break down and install XP.. sigh.. I hope it doesn't resort to that.

wouldnt go with XP if u wanna play CS...many ppl are having problems with mouse accuracy
