If I have one computer using Win2K with NTFS file system and share a partition/drive on the network, can I see the share partition/drive from another computer using WinXP Pro with FAT32 file system? I know I could see the drive if both computers use NTFS. Thank you.

Yes. Because XP can see NTFS partitions just fine....98 and ME cannot.

Uhm, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it matters what OS you are running, if its networked and shared, you should be able to see it just fine. It doesn't look at how the data is stored, but more what the information is stored there. It is the computer/OS that the HD resides ons responsibility to be able to read the particular FAT32 or NTFS drive.

That's true. If you're sharing a directory over a network, it makes no difference what OS/FAT/hardware/etc you are using. As long as the machines can communicate, you can share the files.
