i accidentally posted in the led zep thread and became an admiral. aight, no big...i can still do this. and to make it not really a thread about my promotion, i'll share my grand canyon pics.
here are just a few so far. i'm still resizing them to 800x600 for the dialuppers. as always, lemme know if you want the 1600x1200 version.

the first thing i noticed about the grand canyon was...it's $20 to get in. that's per carload. since i went by myself, it was $20 just for me. if you go w/a bunch of peeps, it's more worth it.
i heard peeps complaining about how it wasnt all what they expected or whatever. yeah, well that's fine and stuff, but they obviously didn't appreciate that this was largely an erosion deal. even with tools, something of this size would take years to do.
it's hard to gain perspective from one vantage point. but i walked around a bit to get a better feel for just how big this thing is...and it's just plain huge. i actually stood on the ledge in a few places that weren't "protected" or whatever with those rails and saw pretty clearly over the edge. it's hard to describe...i would recommend a trip out there yourself to see it at least once in your life if you haven't been.
