The Direct Marketing sector regards the telephone as one of its most successful tools. Consumers experience telemarketing from a completely different point of view: more than 92% perceive commercial telephone calls as a violation of privacy.
Telemarketers make use of a telescript - a guideline for a telephone conversation. This script creates an imbalance in the conversation between the marketer and the consumer. It is this imbalance, most of all, that makes telemarketing successful. The EGBG Counterscript attempts to redress that balance.

me: can i call you back later to discuss this
them: sure, the number is 1-800-534-34...
me: no no, i need you home number
them: well, i don't really give that out
me: oh, so you don't want me to call you at home while you are in the middle of [whatever]
funny how many of them get freaked out. only run across on so far who had actually seen that episode and starting laughing.

i admit it !
i did telemarkiting for like 3 months.
anyways the only reason i choose it was that there was a good pay and bonus.
first of all if some one said can u spell your name for me i would hang up
alot of ppl would like ask how did u get this number and the answer to that is "its your credit card company, selling these numbers"
anyways i would really get annoyed when this would happen
i would say the whole damn script then this guy said "im not intreasted, take me off the list" this annoys me the most cuz alot of ppl who are not intreasted usually cut me off and save me the time of reading the damn script.
so you wanna annoy a telemarketer?? listen and tell him/her " TAKE ME OFF THE LIST"

I use to be a loan collecter for a bank. I would always have to start a conversation off with the word "REPO" just so they wouldn't hang up on me while yelling, "I'm not buying anything!"
I like to yell at telemarketers by accusing them for being the one who is cheating with my wife. If its a girl I say my man. They always freak at that.

Somebody better post their results if you use this on a telemarketer..
I worked as a telemarketer - for a day and a half. The job made me feel so scuzzy that I couldn't even make it through the second day. I left at lunch, went home, and showered for an hour.
