Hardware disposal?

Does anyone know where I can dispose of old broken computer equipment and UPS batteries that are completely dead? I think it's illegal to just put them in a dumpster somewhere.

Check with your local village or town hall. Many communities have special days set aside for getting rid of electronic equipment.

Well, I just called APC. Apparently you can take these batteries wherever they recycle car batteries.


Now, as far as old computer equipment, anyone else have suggestions?
