SATs are not a test of intelligence. They were specifically created to estimate how well a student would do on their first semester of college. SAT!=IQ test

I'd like to add that they don't do this. They are actually a poor estimator of first semester college. For example girls don't do as well on the SAT (I think the gap is 70 points) but do better in college (first semester). However there is a direct correlation between your families income and your score. I just thought you should know.

Depending on where you go to college, it can be a good indicator. If you go to a college where your freshman year is filled with Scantrons and multiple-guess questions, how well you do on the SAT does directly correlate to how well you do in your classes.

But you are right... how well you do on the SAT is mainly determined by income and region... and probably in that order. :hmm:

Well... in base 10
6 x 9 = 54 so I don't see how you are getting 42. in base 12 it = 46, I think, so that can't be it either.

Unless you ar corupting the obvious calculation to be 6 times x times 9 where x = .77777777777777777777778 I don't see it.

Sorry for not responding earlier... I just saw the thread.
