I've been doing this for a while...but this is the first time I've seen a mirror mod in a retail-ish case

so its basically a premodded case with a mirror on the bottom? or is there something im not seeing

Yep...that's it.
You'd be surprised how cool it looks to have your fans and LEDs mirrored around your case.

I have a case that has cut plexiglass mirrors on all the flat-metal surfaces-nifty effect.
