My computer specs are listed below, I have an aluminum lian li case, server size, 2 intake fans in the front, 2 exhaust fans in the back, one blowhole fan, 2 fans on psu, very good heatsink/fan on cpu, 2 fans on harddrive......how much should i over clock? And I should move up the FSB, not the multiplier right? Motherboard is an Abit KX7-333R KT333 Chipset (266/333)MHz DDR ATX. THANKS!

You can't increase the multiplier with a locked CPU and your CPU is locked from the factory. Anyway increasing the FSB makes your system performs better. Just increase your FSB 2 or 3 Mhz at the time with the most aggressive memory timing and stock voltage (both CPU and DDR) until your system becomes unstable and/or locks up. Then increase the voltage (CPU and/or DDR) and continue the process. I could take my locked 1700+ to 2000+ (150Mhz @ 1.825V) with PC2100 memory (@ 2.6V). Remember to check your CPU temperature because you don't want it to fry.

How about the I/O voltage, should i change that at all, also, what should the maximum safe CPU temp be?

I don't know about I/O voltage. You shouldn't go over 55C (full load).

I had an 1800+ in my kx7-333 and found I maxed it out safely/stable at an FSB of 143 and a 1.775V core, best mushkin pc2100 running at 2.65 I think and i/o left as normal level. It is amazing the difference the memory settings make though...
if you can set things at the right timings you will notice a big difference, but if you don't have good ram as with all overclocking things will quickly be unstable or not even boot and require a cmos reset. Ther eare tons of settings to experiment with.

I learned that one the other day.. heh.. I decided I was goign to oC my system and started tweeking the Ram settings.. well I guess my Crucial pc2100 ram isn't oC friendly or something because immediately after changing the timing, system wouldn't boot.. Good thing I have a stick of Corsair in there too (don't know where it came from, but it's in there) and I just took out the Crucial ram and it booted up.. then I changed the settings back and put the ram back in.. For a second, I thought I had fried my ram or something.. heh..

Anyone know good timings for Crucial/Corsair pc2100 (if any)
