Quick question, mainly directed to Ribitch, aka Apple god, but anyone can chime in.

Is there something that I can use to connect my ipod to my car's stereo system? It has a cassette deck, but no CD. I figure it's dangerous to have headphones while driving.

While we're on the subject, I was surfing the Honda site, looking at the 2003 Accords that I wanted to get before getting my 2002 Civic (had to get a car since I just moved and got a job). They were showing off the Honda Element, a sort of Aztec-like car, only with a less ugly figure, but a gross paintjob (according to the front page) http://element.honda.com/landing.asp. Anyway, it seems to have a built in port for MP3 players, so you can plug it into the car. Pretty neat.

hmm...should have posted to the car forum...oh well...doh

Any old cassette adapter should do and they'll work in most stereos. Actually, the cassette adapter I had wouldn't work in my '93 Dodge Colt until I opened it up and removed all the gears. But I still prefer cassette adapters to FM transmitters.

You can buy a lot of iPod accessories here (http://www.xtrememac.com/index.html) if you want a white one. :)

like they said. Apple also sells the iRock, a wireless transmitter, but I m kinda weary to buy it due to the fact that its battery operated and In the past, wireless transmitters have sucked.

I dont have a casette player, so i need to figure something out. I have an in dash 6cd changer, so my factory stereo is staying where its at for now. I wish i had rear inputs. damn ford

I use the rear auxillary input and run a wire to the front of my car. Another possibility is removing the 6 cd changer (if you have one or are able to expand). I believe they sell adapters that would allow you to connect to your ipod.

Yeah and i wouldn't recommend those fm transmitters either. Most are poor quality and it is hard to find an available fm channel to play on these days.
