If you have a hub, is it possible to cut someone's internet connection that is connected to it without actually pulling the cord?

Uhm. . . ok nevermind I'm not gonna ask why you would want to do this :hehehmm:. However one way is if you are using MAC, you can have the router deny access to the computer's MAC address of choice.

Right I understand that a router can do but can a HUB do anything like that at all?

A hub is dumb...passive. Unless it is software monitored and controlled, you should not be able to regulate traffic. You CAN however, steal the IP address of a computer if you are using static IPs...which would effectively keep the computer off the network.

Not sure what your internet connection is but if you are using a gateway router you can simply setup filter rule to prevent that computer from going out. As above a hub is a passive device.
