DVI is pretty cool

A while back I get a 17 inch LCD monitor. It only came with a VGA cable even though it has inputs for either VGA or DVI so up until now I have been using the VGA input. Well, the other day I finally found a DVI cable for a decent price and WOW! I would never have thought the image would be this much better.

gotta love an all digital signal

i did some work over the summer at a private college for apple. Did some work with a hardcore NT systems admin. He threw a hissy fit because the apple systems being install came with ADC (dvi with usb and power in one connection) and DVI. He could not understand why apple enclosed a dvi-vga adapter. Apparently to him, Apple had abandoned all standards once again.

I chuckled to myself that this dude was so clueless on new hardware technologies. Hell, my gf's old compaq k6-2 450 had a DVI port.

Doheth...now I want to get an LCD. Does anyone know a good one for a good price?
