Word on the street (forums) is the Buslink Model #RW4048 drives are really rebadged AOpen Model#CRW4048 drives. If buying, check out the following review.

AFAIK, you either get a rebadged AOpen drive, or a Lite-On. Either way, both are supposed to be great drives. I'd heard about this @ arstechnica, and was just about to head out to get mine now to replace a fairly decrepit old thing.

Also, note that you get Nero 5.5 in the Buslink retail box, which is great if you don't already have it. I didn't - I had some outdated crap with my ancient Mitsumi 8x/4x/2x that this is going to replace.

Finally, the $30 rebate expires *today* (Nov 2nd), so if you want one, you better hurry up...
