The sign-up is painless - no cc required. The magazine is generally pretty interesting. So to answer your Q, yes it is a god deal.

No you dont have to cancel. This is through Digimarc, our good friends who gave us the cameras. I got a free issue today, telling me to visit that page. They might check your email against the digimarc database like the cameras. We will see
