Friend sent this to me.. Now all that goes through my mind is thinking about various friends and say, "dangit, I'm stuck on that Friend ladder!"
And for The Nice Guy thing, here it goes, enjoy Yoss. :) Thanks Tweeteresa for the link! Nice Guy (http://www.angelfire.com/vt2/g_hols/Niceguy)

that guy is pretty perceptive.
and as far as ladder theory goes, i've been on the friend ladder of every girl i've met for my whole life. but then, once, i got to jump ladders to the top my GF's "real" ladder.... :naughty:

:disa: The sad ravings of another poor soul who just can't seem to get any. Someone should let him know that that bitterness ain't helping.

While I am not a complete convert of the ladder theory, it does have some good points. That's not to say that the guy that wrote that was not a very bitter bitter person... he was. However, I do find that if you're too nice to a girl, you do get into that friend spot and tend to stay there. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of advantages to having female friends as just friends. Heck, most of my friends are female and I think they make great friends. However, I'm assuming that the guy who came up with the ladder theory will have to ammend his theory when he grows up (assuming that he has any female friends at that time). The reason is that while a girl usually do NOT go for their best guy friends as romantic interests when she's young and attractive... when she gets older and insecure of her looks (around early thirties for most females although that number can vary a lot depending on the woman) and she has been hurt by a bunch of guys and she's getting tired of it all and is ready to settle, she's going to look to her second ladder for someone to settle for. :)

Fine, you can have them when they are old and busted. I prefer them while they are young and perky.

I really don't see anything profound in his article: A guy's second brain does all of his thinking and a woman's basic instinct of security above everything else rules her mind.
Read any woman's magazine and you will see the same agenda revealed month after month, year after year.

read maxim and you will see the first half of that agenda (a guy's second brain does all his thinking) revealed month after month, year after year :hihi:

In today's society, you gotta know your adversary. So by occasionally reading their magazines, you know what to expect.
There was an older guy at work who once told me "When men are sleeping at night, women are scheming"

This is why it was great growing up with sisters; I picked up a lot of insight as to how the female mind works.
My favorite Chinese carryout place has stacks of magazines in waiting area. This is where I always check out the latest "What's he really thinking?" quiz in Cosmo. I can always p*** off my girlfriend by knowing the answers when she tries to sneak the questions in on me.
I came to the conclusion a long time ago: women are just as whacked out as men. Just about different stuff. :D
