View Full Version : STUPID 1/2-LIFE INSTALLATION PROBLEM using Broadband

I have a Dell 2.4Ghz processor with 256MB memory running Windows XP HOME and ATT Cable modem broadband internet.

I am installing half-life for the very first time. It says I need an update. Every time I try to run the program that updates half-life it tells me I have an invalid connection to the internet. So I can't get on-line and get updates, or play multiplayer. But I can browse just fine, my connection seems just fine.

Can anyone offer any guidance????? Please?????

yup yup, never use that cheap prog. Use www.fileplanet.com or some other file site to get the patches, much faster.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Got the game over a year ago and never installed it.

You know, the new beta of the specialist is pretty nice too! I posted it while ago on games page but some of you might not check it DAILY! So you should!
